This morning I had the wonderful opportunity of appearing on Mornings with Fox 43, Powered by WBIR Channel 10 for my 2nd segment on Tips for Mobile Photography. I must tell you up front that I completely didn’t realize they had started filming & I was still trying to get my phone set up. Whoops! I hope it wasn’t too weird. In case you weren’t able to watch the segment, feel free to click the image below to watch. And I also made a graphic that gives a bit more notes & details of the content mentioned on the segment. Enjoy!
With the recent release in Apple’s iPhone 6 & 6+, many people are asking if there is any reason to have a point & shot camera anymore. And, can camera phones really produce consistent results. Today’s segment, “Tips for Mobile Photography, Part 1” focuses on 3 tips for better mobile photography. In part 1, I don’t get in depth as to what apps to use, filters to look for, etc. However, I concentrate on elements that will produce good photographs. Then, in Part 2, (coming soon), I’ll give an inside look into what apps I use & may even give you an opportunity to watch me edit a series of phone photos. In any case, here is the video link (click here) from this am as well as notes from today’s segment. Enjoy!
In April, 2014, I, along with my sidekick & assistant shooter, Jon, had the privilege to venture over to Asheville, NC for Wayne & Lauren’s beautiful Pine Hollow Lodge wedding. Their wedding photos are being considered for publications so I’m unable to show the wedding photos yet but wanted to show a peek of their lovely images from the Day-After Session. It’s hard for me to recall a wedding where I felt so at ease as I did at Wayne & Lauren’s. They were beyond hospitable & the fact that the wedding took place in the backyard of the Pine Hollow Lodge allowed for such a laid-back day. It was unreal.
Following the day of the wedding, we met up with Wayne & Lauren at the North Carolina Arboretum. I had the privilege of photographing a wedding there in June 2012 (click here to see). The sun was quite harsh but we managed to sneak beneath a few trees & enjoy the beautiful Spring weather. I love how effortlessly these two interacted & these photos, along with their wedding, have become some of my personal favorites. Enjoy!
Could they be more amazing together?!!
Following our time at the Arboretum, we opted for a wardrobe change before venturing downtown for a bit & ending the session at Tupelo Honey Cafe! Yes!!!
